Spencer and Zaynah were married in a private ceremony in San Diego, CA on February 25th, 2025. You are invited to join us in celebrating their love and commitment at their Happily Ever After Party on October 3rd, 2026
Will there be bowling?
Yes! Shoe rentals are included, just be sure to bring socks.
What’s the dress code?
Semi formal! Something nice but functional. Please keep in mind that there will be bocce, bowling, and dancing. At the end of the day it’s a party. Zaynah learned the challenges of bowling in a long non stretchy dress at her 8th birthday party. Don’t wear that. Learn from her mistakes.
What if I have a dietary restriction?
Please let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions so we can make the appropriate accommodations.
Do I get a plus-one?
Please refer to your invitation. We kindly request that attendance is limited to those listed on the invitation.
Why did you opt for a private ceremony?
The short answer: because that’s our style!
The long answer: There were a lot of factors that went into our decision. A big one was timing; we got married on the fifth anniversary of our first date…which happened to be a Tuesday a little over 6 months from the day we were officially engaged. The actual wedding date is important to us, but not important enough to justify amassing our loved ones on a random[ish] Tuesday with less than 6 months notice. We had a delightfully lowkey ceremony knowing we’d have time to celebrate with everyone later. We look forward to bringing our families together in 2026.
What was the significance of San Diego?
Nothing too special! Balboa Park is beautiful and we had visited before. Plus, San Diego is a lot nicer in February compared to Chicago
When are you having kids?
Certainly not anytime soon! We have many more places to see and no plans to add to the population in the near future.
