Colby and Zoë met at Wake Forest middle school through sitting at the same table together in their English Class with Ms. Leroy ( Zoë's Bridesmaid Raygan Rensing also sat at the table ). At the time they were just good friends that meet for things like FCA meetings and hanging out with friends after school.

Fast forward to Zoë and Colby's freshman year at Wake Forest High School where they both joined JRTOC together and began a deeper friendship that lead them to both having crushed on each other.

Then on March 23, 2018 Colby asked Zoë to be his girlfriend with a over the top proposal of a sign, flowers, and chocolates.

On May 5, 2018 was Zoë and Colby's first Military Ball together as a couple. Fun fact is that her God-Father, Kendal Strachan (father of the ring barriers) carried her around park taking pictures so that Zoë's shoes wouldn't get ruined.

After a few months of dating Zoë and Colby offered to take couples photos for their friend Lindsay Peabody ( one of Zoë's Bridesmaids ) for her small photography business. Susan, who is Colbys mom joked with them asking if they had "something they needed to them" since the pictures looked like engagement pictures.

Zoë and Colby had their senior pictures taken together of course by Lindsay and snuck into the football stadium of their high school to get the best shots.

Flash forward to covid and more senior pictures

Finally graduation where they had a drive through graduation next to each other with both of their families together.

With many wonderful things in between Colby proposed to Zoë on their 5 year anniversary weekend at North Topsail beach on March 25, 2023!
