Dru and Zuzu met in the summer of 2020. Dru was friends with Zuzu’s new roommates, and they met the day she moved into her Senior year house, affectionately known as the Wap house (located on Wapikiya Dr). They hung out in adjacent friend groups for the next year, but it wasn’t until the spring of 2021 that they finally got to know each other. In the summer of 2021, Zuzu and Dru started seeing each other more frequently at baseball games in Missoula, floating the Clark Fork with the Wapikiya crew, and many karaoke nights. By late summer they both realized they were infatuated with each other. After a few months spent together, while at the Beacon Bar in Great Falls, Zuzu blurted out to Dru that she loved him – the rest is history.

In the past few years, Dru and Zuzu have made great memories with each other, including Saturdays spent at the farmers market, visiting breweries, attending Griz football games, hiking around Missoula with their dogs, and traveling. They share a love for Greta Van Fleet, Bobs Burgers, their dogs (Mister and Baloo) and a good Caesar. Family and friends play a very important role in their lives.

With the addition of Baloo in the summer of 2023, their small family was completed just in time for Dru to propose in the fall. Dru popped the question under the new mural in downtown Missoula. He had planned a small, surprise engagement party with their family and friends. To no one’s surprise, Zuzu already had the wedding planning under way.

They can't wait to celebrate with their loved ones in September!
