Family history and heritage have been very important to both Dru and Zuzu, and when it was time to look for the perfect ring, they didn’t have to search for long. Zuzu’s mom had been given the wedding/engagement ring that her father, Gary, gave to her mother, Lynn, in 1965. The ring was a traditional 14k gold ring with a white gold setting featuring a round cut diamond, flanked by smaller round diamonds, and a wedding band made up of diamonds. Even though the ring on its own was beautiful, Zuzu’s mom had a marquis diamond from her original wedding set, and she suggested switching the original main diamond from her grandmother’s ring with the original diamond from her mom’s ring. After finding a jeweler in Missoula, resizing the ring, and resetting the main stone - the happy couple was pleased with creating a beautiful new start to two vintage pieces.
