When should I start planning my trip?

I have found varying research on this topic but I would suggest starting your research as soon as possible and having things booked around 6 months in advance to be safe. Some websites recommend 4 months as the magic number for when to book though!

How much does Hawaii Cost?

This has been the most common question we have received so far. While this will vary for everyone, the average cost for a 7-day stay in Oahu for 2 people is approx. $3000 - $4000. This does not include flights or excursions. There are obviously many ways to save money, such as vacation rental homes (Airbnb, vrbo, etc.) or hostels, versus staying in the resorts. However, if looking to stay at one of the resorts, they often offer discounts for booking 7 days or more. You can also take advantage of the discount code we have provided. There are also many ways to splurge! Upgrading your resort stay or island hopping is one way to do so. We encourage all of our guests to start planning months in advance to find the best deals and budget accordingly.

When should I arrive?

This is a personal choice but keep in mind that there is a 6-hour time difference. With that said, we will be arriving on Friday 5/19 to give us plenty of time to relax and adjust before our wedding day of 5/22

What are your plans?

We will be arriving in Oahu, 3 days early, on 5/19 to relax and prepare for our wedding on 5/22. We are planning to have brunch with everyone the morning of 5/23 before we fly out to Maui in the afternoon to start our honeymoon! We are using an agency called Unforgettable Honeymoons to help us in planning our trip and have most of our trip arrangements already booked.

What do I wear to your wedding?

Think classy Hawaiin Beach party! We will be outside all day so wear cool clothes and sunscreen. Flat shoes are also recommended for our ceremony location as you will be walking through grass and sand.

Should I bring a gift?

Your presence at our destination wedding is more than enough!! However, if you feel like you must give us something, we have opened up a honeymoon fund on this website under the registry tab. Anything you contribute will be used to help fund our Hawaiian Honeymoon Adventure!
