CVG (Cincinnati) to HNL (Honolulu)
Travel times average 11+ hours so plan accordingly.
Upon landing in Honolulu you may seek out a taxi or uber to take you the ~20-minute drive to Waikiki.
Shuttles are also available with planning ahead of time. Fly Shuttle, Go Waikiki Shuttle, and Speedishuttle appear to drop off at most Waikiki Resorts.
You also have the option to rent a car and pick up at the airport upon arrival. Booking this ahead of time is strongly encouraged.
We encourage our guests to do plenty of research when planning their trip to Hawaii. To help aid in that process we have listed several resort options that were recommended to us by our wedding planner. The following resorts are also eligible for a wedding guest discount with the code - WEDDHAWAII.
However, there are many, many, hotel and resort options so make sure you shop around!
Airbnb & VRBO also seem to be very cost-effective options. When searching these sites, we recommend you stay close to the Waikiki Beach area to remain close to the ceremony and reception.
This resort will also be the location of our reception.
Renting a car is the most obvious and probably easiest option if you plan on exploring the island, but may not be the most cost-effective option depending on the kind of trip you are wanting to have.
If you plan on only staying in the Waikiki Resort area, most attractions are walkable, as the area of Waikiki is only 2 miles wide.
Shuttle and bus services are also widely available to and from popular Oahu destinations. These youtube videos have great information about the shuttles and how to book them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNnJAXiaomw
