It all started with two right swipes on Bumble. From there, it was together forever (except for those two months we don't talk about in the beginning) (Abby got scared but a night of tequila fixed that).

It didn't take long for Dakota to convince Abby that living in DC was far better than Arlington, and they moved in together after only five months (at the time they thought it was six months, because math is hard). Immediately thereafter, a pandemic hit turning their one bedroom apartment into a school and office building, as well as living quarters. They found they genuinely enjoyed each other's company through 24/7 time spent together in those first few months, and the rest is history.

Over the past few years life has included raising two (almost) perfect yorkies, a career change and graduate degree for Dakota, a blossoming career for Abby, a move to a new city, and a house.

They enjoy spending time with the beans, working on their house, going to CrossFit, hosting friends for board games and good food, and watching sports. In the future, they look forward to traveling more and redoing their basement so that everyone can come visit.

They are excited to take this next step in life together, and can't wait to celebrate with friends and family!
