Check our President James Monroe's Tomb, visit President John Tyler's Monument, or just take a stroll through a shady, well-loved tourist location on the James River.
Hollywood Cemetery is just around the corner from a local curiosities shop, Rest In Pieces. Find some macabre gifts for friends before you leave town.
Take a stroll through our favorite park. We will be having our ceremony here privately, come see why we picked it! You can pickleball, check out the disk golf course, or check out many trails. We often run the 1-mile Azalea loop.
There is a farmers market on Saturday mornings (8am-12pm) throughout the year. Come early if you want to snag some goodies- its the most popular in town!
The James River is the place to be during hot, swampy summer days. There are many different places to swim or "lizard" on the rocks, and our favorite is Pony Pasture. Other notable spots are Belle Isle and Texas Beach. Bring your swim shoes and bathing suits! Rocks get slippery, so travel lightly.
There is a parking lot, but it tends to fill up by about 10 am.
NOTE: The river is dangerous after rain. Please check the water level before you go. You will notice that it tends to be around 5-7 feet on a normal day. Do not swim if you are unsure. https://www.riversideoutfitters.com/current-conditions/
