When should I RSVP?

Please RSVP by February 1, 2027 through our wedding website. This helps us finalize seating, catering, bar service, and all the little details that make the evening feel effortless.

Is there a gift registry?

Your presence at our wedding is truly the gift that matters most to us. For those who would like to give something, we have created a cash registry to help us begin this next chapter together, whether that means future travel, home projects, or simply building a life that feels even more like ours. Please know that gifts are never expected. Celebrating with us is more than enough.

Will there be food and drinks?

Absolutely. And let’s be honest, if you know us, have ever survived one of our holiday parties or fundraisers, seen how seriously Abraham takes “just putting out a few snacks,” or witnessed how grazing and snacking are practically Forrest’s love language, you know this was never going to be a standard chicken-or-fish situation. Instead of a traditional seated dinner, we are planning a cocktail-style garden reception with a champagne welcome, open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, curated food stations, dessert, and dancing throughout the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden. Think elevated garden party. Think oversized, over-the-top grown-up Lunchables. Think good food, good drinks, good music, and enough bites to make a full meal without sitting everyone down for two hours. You will be fed. You will be watered. You will be offered champagne. No one is expected to survive on vibes alone, although we plan to provide those too.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony begins at 6:00 PM, but we recommend arriving at 5:30 PM. Champagne will be passed before the ceremony, and we want you to have time to settle in, find your seat, and enjoy the garden.

Where is the wedding?

UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum 605 Azie Morton Road Austin, Texas 78704 The ceremony and reception will both take place onsite.

Is the wedding outdoors?

Yes. The wedding will take place in the sculpture garden, with the reception also using the garden, terrace, and indoor areas. May in Austin is usually beautiful, but it can also be warm, humid, or dramatic because Texas likes to keep everyone humble. We recommend dressing for an outdoor garden setting.

What should I wear?

The dress code is Garden Formal. Think elegant spring wedding, but comfortable enough for an outdoor garden venue. Suits, dress shirts, ties, cocktail dresses, midi or maxi dresses, elevated jumpsuits, and polished seasonal formalwear are all appropriate. For shoes, we recommend block heels, wedges, loafers, dress flats, or anything that can survive a garden without declaring war on your ankles.

Can I wear my military uniform?

Military guests are welcome to wear appropriate mess / dress uniform if they choose, but it is absolutely not required. Garden Formal civilian attire is perfectly appropriate.

Will there be valet?

No. We are not planning to provide valet service. UMLAUF has limited onsite parking, so we strongly encourage guests to use Uber, Lyft, or another rideshare option for drop-off and pickup. It will make the evening much easier, especially with the venue’s location near Barton Springs and Zilker. For guests who prefer to drive, nearby parking options may include: Barton Springs South Parking Lot South Austin Little League/Wright Field Pecan Grove Parking Please plan ahead, allow extra time, and remember that Austin parking likes to keep everyone humble.

Are children invited?

With the exception of babes-in-arms, we kindly ask that this be an adults-focused evening. We love your children. We also love champagne, string music, formalwear, and nobody stepping on a miniature poodle.

Will Jean-Luc and Riker be there?

Yes, that is the plan. Jean-Luc and Riker are expected to make a very important ceremonial appearance. They have not yet confirmed whether they will be accepting interviews afterward.

What kind of music should we expect?

The evening will begin with a romantic string sound, including modern pop covers during guest arrival, and the ceremony. Afterwards, the the energy will build into a proper dance floor. Expect elegant at first. Expect Selena later.

Is the wedding on Mother’s Day weekend?

Yes. The wedding is Saturday, May 8, 2027, and Mother’s Day is the following day. We know this may affect some travel plans, so we recommend booking hotels and flights early. We will have a little something special for the Moms in attendance.

What if I have dietary restrictions / allergies?

Please include any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP. We will do our best to accommodate them.

Who should I contact with questions?

Please check this website first, since we will keep it updated as plans are finalized. If you still have questions, you can reach out to Abraham or Forrest directly.
