Cenotes are sunken swimming holes that are filled with crystal clear water. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of them scattered around the Yucatan peninsula to explore and they are BEAUTIFUL.

The Chichén Itzá is one of the Wonders of the World. It is accessible via a tour or driving, about 2.5 hrs from Cancún.

Tulum is world renowned, and it's not hard to see why. Known for it's Mayan ruins, lush jungles, bright blue water beaches, luxury hotels, some of the best Cenotes in Mexico and a growing wellness scene, Tulum is hard to miss.

While the food served in the Cancun Hotel Zone is good, if you want to try real Mexican food, you'll have to visit downtown Cancun as most of the best Mexican restaurants in Cancun are located here.

All Tequila is made in Mexico. Similar to Scotch, Tequila can only be called tequila if it is made from 100 percent Blue Weber agave and produced in the Mexican state of Jalisco. Take a tequila tour to taste it where it is made!

This eco-water park is near the Cancun area and offers you a wide array of activities like snorkeling, swimming at the Caleta, visiting Mayan pyramids, enjoying live performances, an aquarium, and an aquatic park. Oh, and did I mention you can drink there?

Tulum is a beachside paradise about 1.5 hrs south of Cancún. It is home to a number of cenotes, archaeological ruins and more.

Las Luchas (that is what it’s called in Mexico) match takes place every Friday at 8:30 pm in Academia TWS, located in Cancun downtown.

Playa (meaning beach) Delfines is one of the many incredible white strips of sand along the Cancun hotel zone.

Playa Del Carmen is just a one-hour drive away from Cancun. This is a small town, with lots of places to have fun. Restaurants, shopping malls, nightclubs, and beach clubs are just a few of the attractions in the area.

Mostly relevant to us Aussies who get ripped off for alcohol by our Governments alcohol tax. This bottle of Captain Morgan was from a grocery store for 146 pesos (approx. $11 AUD/$7 USD)
