2 S Court House Ave, Carlisle, PA, 17013, United States
A simple ceremony in Carlisle's historic Old Cumberland County Courthouse.
Built in 1846, the structure was damaged by Confederate shelling on July 1, 1863, and the marks are still visible on one of the building's sandstone columns.
Cocktails + DINNER + FESTIVITIES
The Vault
1 N Hanover St, Carlisle, PA, 17013, United States
Immediately following the ceremony, say skål (Swedish for "cheers") with cocktails at the Vault, followed by a Scandinavian-inspired dinner and festivities until 10pm. (After that, we might head to a local bar.) Located in the historic 1813 Carlisle Deposit Bank & Trust building, the Vault is right across from the Old Court House.
Note: If you want to change or drop by your hotel room, feel free to do that following the ceremony -- Alex and Mark will be taking photos and will join the party around 5:30.
YOU'RE INVITED TO GIVE A TOAST!
In Scandinavian fashion, some of our friends and family will serve as "toastmasters," coordinating and introducing speeches on Saturday evening. We're grateful to Alex's best friend, Hannah Roche, and her cousins, Katherine and Elizabeth Howard, for taking on this role.
Anyone is welcome -- and invited! -- to give a toast Saturday evening. Please email the toastmasters at toastmasters928@gmail.com by September 7th if you’d like to give a speech.
