Our Story

At the beginning of our story you most likely heard we were "only friends," as Lindsey played hard to get, not allowing our relationship to go beyond that and leaving Alex in the "friend zone." However, in January 2016, Lindsey and Alex pushed their relationship from the friend zone to dating.

Along the way, we both shared our favorite activities. Lindsey took Alex on hikes (of course, to any place with a waterfall), and Lindsey read her book while Alex fished after school. Alex introduced Lindsey to hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling, and we both enjoyed skiing the slopes of Bousquet. Whatever it was we were doing, we were always together.

The bond of our relationship was tested when Lindsey went to college. Alex promised Lindsey they would remain strong, which we did, as Alex and Lindsey would alternate visiting each other every two weeks. Four years flew by, and Lindsey was ready to graduate, pushing our relationship to a new commitment as Lindsey accepted a job that would take her to New Hampshire. Alex committed to the ride, committed to Lindsey, and moved with her to New Hampshire. In a leap of faith, we purchased our new home and have taken advantage of finding new hikes, fishing spots, and long walks on the beach looking for sea glass.

New Hampshire has brought many new experiences and newly found favorite places. One of them is Four Tree Island. A frequently visited spot for us two is an island surrounded by water in Portsmouth. On the island's tip is a statue that reads "for those who sailed here to start a new life." Alex knew this would be the perfect place to propose. September 10, 2022, Alex took Lindsey to see the sunset on Four Tree Island. Alex got down on one knee as the sun set and asked Lindsey to be his wife. It leads us to September 21, 2024, where we welcome you into our story and experience with us our happily ever after.
