Where to Stay:

PLEASE READ: Sister Bay has a small town feel with no major hotel chains. We have outlined below some great options for your stay. If you choose Airbnb or any other location beyond those listed, please make sure that you are within walking distance of the Dorr Hotel or that you are comfortable driving to the weekend's events. While ubers/lyfts may be available, they are extremely limited - especially in the offseason. Also, Sister Bay has recently passed a "no overnight street parking" ordinance so keep that in mind when booking your stay if you will have a car.


The Welcome Party, trolley transportation to/from Northern Haus (the wedding venue), and After Party, will all be located at/very close to the Dorr Hotel as a central location.

Of the suggested places to stay, this is the farthest away from our central hub of the Dorr Hotel (0.8 miles or a 17 minute walk). It is located only 0.4 miles from the Welcome Party location. The rooms here are quite nice and it has affordable rates as low as $135 a night.

Airbnb/VRBO

Airbnb is another great option in the area. However, please be sure that the airbnb location is close (read: walking distance) to downtown Sister Bay (think the Dorr Hotel) as ubers/lyfts are very hard to come by in Door County during "offseason." Transportation to and from the wedding venue will be provided and scheduled to depart from the Dorr Hotel or nearby location. If your Airbnb is located closer to Northern Haus or farther away from the Dorr Hotel, please be prepared to drive.
