Attire: Beach Formal.
Our wedding will take place on the beach in August, so we encourage light, breathable fabrics to keep cool in the summer heat. Think flowy dresses, linen shirts, and comfortable footwear—sandals or dressy flats are perfect for the sand. We want everyone to feel stylish yet comfortable, so embrace a relaxed, elegant look that suits the tropical setting.
We’re so excited to celebrate with you in Mexico! To make your trip smooth and stress-free, here’s what you’ll need to prepare:
1. Check Your Passport - make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. If you need to renew or apply for a passport, do it ASAP to avoid delays.
2. Book Your Flights & Accommodations - we recommend booking flights early for the best prices and availability. - Check with us or on our website for recommended hotels, resorts, or rental options nearby.
3. Arrange Transportation - we highly recommend Ever Garcia for airport transfers and local transportation (see our transportation section for details). Taxis and rideshares are available, but private transfers can be more convenient.
4. Pack for the Weather - Mexico is hot and sunny, especially in August! Pack light, breathable clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Our wedding is on the beach, so we suggest light, comfortable attire and footwear that works for sand (see our attire section for more details).
5. Understand Currency & Payments - the local currency is Mexican Pesos (MXN), but U.S. dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas. - Credit cards work at most places, but it’s always good to have some cash for tips and small purchases.
6. Travel Insurance (Optional) - travel insurance can protect against unexpected cancellations, delays, or medical emergencies. Check your credit card benefits or consider purchasing a separate policy.
7. Stay Connected - check with your phone provider about international roaming plans or consider using Wi-Fi calling and messaging apps (WhatsApp is commonly used in Mexico). If you need data during your stay, you can get a local SIM card or an eSIM.
Mexico is full of beautiful beaches, great food, and fun activities. Check out our Things to Do section for recommendations, and most importantly, get ready to relax, celebrate, and enjoy this special occasion with us!
