Wayne and I met on match.com in May 2022. The more time we spend together the more we find comfort in our similarities. Wayne has told me he was drawn to my profile because I mentioned loving the movie “Interstellar “. I loved his profile because his photo was so charming, he was tall and is half Korean. We joke that my pallet can’t handle all of the delicious spicy Korean food but I still try everything!

We started dating, seeing each other once or twice a week. We would meet in Winston Salem or Troutman. Grab some dinner and enjoy each other’s company. In June 2022, I went to my first Comic Con with Wayne. It was so interesting to experience being part of the comic community. A few months later Wayne got to experience the NC Renaissance Festival for the first time. Slowly, I realized that all I could think about when I was with him was how happy I was. We traveled around central NC seeing zoos and regional landmarks. Before these zoo trips we both had the understanding that animals are precious. At this point his pups had not completely boarded the Awesome Alli train. They would soon after and allow me to experience their wonderful little personalities. There are many times that I’m with Lexi and Lucky and become so happy that I cry. I couldn’t ask for better fur babies than these two dogs!

In October of 2022 Wayne and I decided to get a kitten from a friend. He became a wonderful play pal with the dogs and enjoys sharing food with our older cat, Snickers. Rikki Tikki Tavvi was our first big step and moving in together did not come long after. It was wonderful to be able to know that I had a supportive loving man to come home to, also the cats and dogs! Through living together we learned a lot about each other. Things like “Alli is not a morning person “ and “Wayne likes spaces to be filled with fun little things”. We grew together in creating new spaces and filling them with new memories.

Together we have seen TSO twice, met David Copperfield and (VERY SOON!) William Shatner, traveled to Las Vegas, South Carolina and all around Charlotte. We enjoy spending time trying new foods, going to new places, doing things we have never done before, trying to dance, watching movies (sometimes falling asleep) and learning each other’s music. We can’t wait to continue to grow and have you witness our commitment to each other.
