Our Wedding

Ten years ago Allie was starting her freshman year at Tulane and Andrew was returning for his sophomore year. It was only the first few weeks of school, around late August early September when Louisiana's forecast is limited to hot and humid or torrential downpour. It was a random weeknight and Allie was getting ready to head over to the local watering hole with her friends, as all good freshmen do. Andrew volunteered to spend his sophomore year in the freshman dorms with the new baseball recruits. Little did Allie know, just two floors down Andrew and his new teammates had similar plans. Later that evening at The Boot, one of Tulane’s finest establishments, Allie and her girlfriend were on the prowl for beverages. It was then Allie spotted Andrew and his teammate Cameron at the bar. Without hesitation, Allie walked up to Andrew and asked “are you trying to buy me a drink?” Andrew caught off guard but intrigued, entertained Allie’s request. They mingled over drinks for a short while when Allie yet again abruptly asked “so are you going to dance with me?” As many of you may know, there’s no stopping Allie when you give her a dance floor and music. The ball was in Andrews court, and boy did he come to play. The two danced the night away and the rest is history.

If the block is used up, please reach out to us and we will try to expand it.&nbsp;

There are also multiple Airbnb or VRBO options within Horseshoe Bay. If you want to be within walking distance to the ceremony and reception – please look at the site on map to be certain. The Horseshoe Bay community is very big and some of the Airbnb/VRBO locations could be a car drive away. Other hotel options are in Marble Falls which is a 15-minute (8 miles) ride away. We are not holding blocks at the other hotels recommended below.

The scenic Hill Country&nbsp;trails range from easy to challenging. Take the .5-mile Twin Falls Nature Trail and stop at the scenic overlook over the falls. Or tackle the six-mile Wolf Mountain Trail. This challenging trail wraps around Tobacco and Wolf mountains and winds along the small canyons created by Mescal and Tobacco creeks. Along the way, cool your heels at Arrowhead Pool, where Bee Creek spills into stair-stepped pools. Park passes must be reserved online ahead of time!
