Sound Transit is Seattle's public transportation system. The light rail, buses, and street cars provide access to the majority of Seattle proper. You can buy an ORCA card at a light rail station and pre-load funds, or download the Transit Go Ticket app for easy payment. Single-trip ticket kiosks are also available at all light rail stations and buses take cash payments.
The Link (light rail) runs directly from SEATAC to downtown Seattle.
We highly recommend that our guests download either Uber or Lyft for their trip. There are no local transit stations near the wedding venue. An Uber or Lyft between downtown Seattle and SODO is the most convenient, accessible, and affordable mode of transportation for the day of the wedding.
We do not recommend a car rental for your trip to Seattle. Parking is both sparse and expensive, and the city is not the most easily navigated by car. If you do choose to rent a car for your stay, there is a shuttle from SEATAC to a rental lot for your convenience.
Parking at the wedding venue is widely available and free, however.
For folks that are not renting a car, we recommend staying in Seattle proper. Included neighborhoods would be the International District, Pioneer Square, Capitol Hill, and Belltown. These are all easily accessible via public transit.
For our guests that are considering a car rental and would like to stay in the suburbs, we recommend staying in Queen Anne, Ballard, or West Seattle.
Airbnb or Vrbo are always great options if that is your preference! For those that prefer traditional hotels, here are a few local spots that have had outstanding reviews from our past visitors:
Located in Pioneer Square, easy access to the waterfront, historical sites, and the international district.
Located in South Lake Union, easy access to the Space Needle, Museum of Pop Culture, Climate Pledge Arena, and Lake Union.
Located in Pioneer Square/International District, easy access to stadiums and waterfront.
Located in Belltown, right across the street from the Space Needle.
