Washington DC is home to many beautiful museums and attractions - all free and a 20 minute drive from Old Town Alexandria! You can drive, Uber, or take the Metro (Yellow Line) to the National Mall to see the Smithsonian museums and monuments, or even head a little farther north to the National Zoo.

Old Town Alexandria features a lot of shops and restaurants, especially down the main corridor of King Street. On weekends there's often live music, and on Saturday mornings (before noon) there's a farmers market with great pastries and other breakfast options!
