Is there a dress code for the wedding?
Cocktail/semi-formal attire: Cocktail dresses for the ladies and suits and ties for the gentlemen! Both the ceremony and reception are inside, so you'll only have to worry about summer heat when walking between locations.
Can I bring a date?
We want to keep our wedding personal with close friends and family, so we will only be able to accommodate the names listed on the formal wedding invitation.
Who should I contact if I have day-of questions?
You can reach out to Caroline (412-266-0353), Matron of Honor, or Meredith (724-683-4277), Maid of Honor.
What is a Catholic Nuptial Mass?
The Nuptial Mass, where couples receive the Sacrament of Matrimony, is similar to any other Catholic mass with the addition of a ritual for marriage. The mass will be approximately 1 hour. We are so excited to share our faith and Catholic traditions with all of you and will have a detailed program to help you follow along throughout the mass!
What should I do between Mass and the Cocktail Hour?
The Nuptial Mass will end around 4 pm. Immediately following, we will be taking a full group photo with all guests on the steps of the Main Building (the Golden Dome steps). After Mass, please exit the church and head toward the stairs. After the picture, we encourage you to explore and enjoy campus then head to the cocktail hour and reception at Notre Dame Stadium. Guests can also stop by their hotel rooms briefly before the cocktail hour and reception, which start at 5:30 pm.
