Allie was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan into a family that takes pride in hard work, compassion, and seizing opportunities. She lived in Las Vegas for 7 years where she was introduced to a more diverse world than any small town in the UP could offer. Minnesota became Allie's final home in 2010 when she moved to Woodbury to live closer to family. That is when music became an important part of her life, starting with joining the Skyview Elementary 5th grade choir and switching to band the following year, playing flute.

There are some kids who are involved in many different sports and some who spend most of their time helping their community through volunteer work- Allie was involved solely in music. The bride's mother encouraged (which is putting it nicely) Allie to join the Woodbury High School marching band when she was 14 years old, and she was surprised how much she liked it. She received her varsity letter during her sophomore year of high school and earned 6 more letters before graduating in 2017 for her participation in marching band, pep band, drumline, percussion ensemble, concert band, and orchestra (and once in academics).

Allie began attending Winona State University in the fall of 2017 with a major in nursing. She was a part of the Winona State University Wind Ensemble, which proved to be too much of a time commitment and that was the last year that Allie made music with a group of others that shared that passion.

During her freshman year, one of her classmates stole a real human skull from the Anatomy lab, causing the labs to be shut down and a test to be pushed back about a week until the culprit brought it back. Even after an all that extra time to study the material, Allie still failed the anatomy test and decided that Nursing may not be the career for her. She knew that she still wanted a career that helped others and social work seemed to click much better for her.

In fall of 2019, Allie was accepted into the Social Work Program at WSU, minoring in Child Advocacy Studies. and is one of her proudest achievements. During her time in college, Allie was involved in the Phi Theta Chi sorority, serving as it's Rush (aka recruitment) and Phinest Chair (helped to connect the sorority with the campus community by choosing a male representative), as well as the Treasurer. Allie also wrote for Her Campus, which is an online magazine, and served on their executive board as the Assistant Social Media Director.

In August of 2021, Allie began her internship at the 180 Degrees Von Wald Youth Shelter in Rochester, MN. This was the final step in getting her degree, which was delayed by a semester, and completing her minor. During her internship, Allie conducted research on the correlation of positive (and consistent) support for youth and how it leads to less risky behaviors (i.e. drugs, crime, sexual behaviors, etc). She graduated from Winona State University with a degree in Social Work and a minor in Child Advocacy studies that fall.

Von Wald really cemented Allie's decision to go into the social work field and she applied for the Youth Advocate role upon graduation. After 3.5 years, Allie is now a Lead Youth Advocate and loves going into work every single day. She loves serving the youth at the shelter and being a positive support in their lives. She remembers every youth that she has worked with and loves to see/hear all that they've accomplished after discharging from the shelter.

180 Degrees is a company that Allie is proud to work for and she has met many Forever Friends in her coworkers. Through her work, Allie can work closely with her passions: social justice and child advocacy.

In February of 2023, Allie met the love of her life: Dustin. He was the only man she's ever talked to where the conversation has yet to fade. In August of that year, she moved in with him in their teeny tiny town of Rose Creek and they adopted their mischievous puppy, Goose, just a few months later.

Dustin is always there to listen to Allie's many rants and is always down to watch her favorite tv shows with her, no matter how weird they are. Not only is Dustin the love of her life, but she loves his family too. Allie is forever grateful to be marrying into a family that she genuinely enjoys being around.

She is so excited to join Dustin in front of everyone they love.

Dustin Mesch

Picture of Dustin Mesch

Dustin was born on a chilly Friday morning in Austin, MN. The youngest 4 children, he spent a majority of his life living in Brownsdale with a few other towns sprinkled in. All of his relatives value family above all else, so it was very common to see aunts, uncles, and cousins during every occasion, even the most mundane.

Dustin met his lifelong friends through church and school as he grew up, many of which will be standing beside him on his wedding day. He graduated from Hayfield High School in 2015, only participating in Track and Field as an extracurricular during his senior year. He claims that he joined for fun and was a "good runner", but did admit to being horrible at the pole vault.

Dustin and his best friend, Garrett, enlisted in the military and he arrived at a Marine Corps base in San Diego for boot camp. His time in San Diego lasted longer than expected due to a mild injury, but he was excited to be transferred to Camp Pendleton California for more extensive training. During his time there, Dustin reports that he got to throw a hand grenade and use a grenade launcher, which was fun, and ate a lot of MREs (which was not).

His next stop was Fort Benning in Georgia for tanker school, where he learned how to operate and maintain military tanks. He claims that driving a tank is similar to driving a motorcycle, which surprises many. During his time in Fort Benning, Dustin began to experience problems with his shoulder, but decided to soldier on (pun intended). He was then transferred to Meridian, Mississippi for IMRL Asset Manager training, which would be his assigned job at his next transfer to Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Base in Hawaii. Dustin claims that many were jealous of his new transfer and he made sure to enjoy the sunshine and ocean waves for the first year that he was there.

During his time there, everyone in Hawaii received an Emergency Alert stating that a ballistic missile was headed towards them and that it was not a drill. According to Dustin, everyone on base was in a panic, driving at high speeds to get to their loved ones and calling others to say goodbye. After 38 minutes, Dustin and everyone else in the state (and everyone in the country) found out that the alert was sent by mistake and they were all safe. Most people would be extremely relieved, however, Dustin's first thought was, "well, damn, someone is about to be fired for this."

Dustin nearly completed his enlistment but was medically discharged due to his aforementioned shoulder problems. Working with heavy equipment did not do his body any favors and resulted in a surgery to fix constant cracking and pain.

Dustin arrived back home in 2019 and adjusted to civilian life with a series of boring normal-people jobs. For a while, he enjoyed the cycle of going to work, hanging out with loved ones, sleeping, and repeat. After a year, he enrolled in Riverland Community College in Austin to study Computer Science. Dustin has a passion for helping others and wanted to pursue a career that helps others every day. He transferred to Rochester Community and Technical College to study nursing, with the end goal of becoming a nurse anesthetist.

Dustin worked for Mayo Clinic in Rochester as a Logistics Associate for 2 years as a stepping stone into his future career.

In February of 2023, Dustin matched with a "cute girl with a nice bio" on a dating website. This cute girl would eventually become his now-fiance, Allie, and he somehow woo-ed her with the same pick up line that he (admittedly) used with all of his other matches. Dustin was happily surprised that this line worked and the conversation between the two never died down.

Dustin asked Allie to meet in person a week after matching and he joined her and her friend for a game night. Allie was too nervous to look him in the eye for several hours, but he didn't mind because he thought she was adorable.

After 6 months of dating, Dustin suggested that Allie move in with him to save $1,000+ in rent and other expenses that are inevitable in Rochester. She accepted this offer and his empty house that consisted of two couches, a tv, and a desk soon turned into a lovely and comfortable home filled with furniture and art. He gained two step-children that month- two annoying, but very adorable cats.

In addition to their pets, Allie and Dustin adopted a black golden retriever / newfoundland mix puppy on a whim that December. The couple called the dog "silly goose" all the time, which is where the name Goose came from. Dustin proved to be the best of the two for training the dog, which is probably why Goose only destroys Allie's belongings.

On February 13th of 2024, Dustin asked Allie to spend forever with him. He is extremely excited for all the adventures that they will inevitably go on and is so grateful to celebrate their love with everyone on April 13, 2025
