We were introduced over the summer in Clemson by our dear friend, Bekah. Bekah and Sam knew each other from their time working at Camp Hope, the same summer camp Sam's parents met at. Bekah, later, became Alyssa's roommate. This picture was taken on our first date, and from that moment, we knew that something was special about each other.

We continued to date through our last few years at Clemson. We enjoyed attending tailgates supporting the Tigers (like in this photo), laughing, hiking, and making meals together.

In March of 2020, we visited Sam's hometown of Pawleys Island for the very first time as a couple. One of our favorite memories was visiting Atalaya castle... which is why we chose it as the venue for our wedding reception!

Something special about our relationship is our mutual love of music. One of the people who brought us even closer was our voice teacher and choir director, Jerrad Fenske. We worked as cantors at a Catholic church near Clemson, and have continued to do so in Nashville. We plan to keep music as a foundational piece of our marriage... thanks to Jerrad!

In July of 2022, we moved to Nashville, TN. We have supported each other while pursuing our careers in academia and medicine. Together we go to dances in the park, spend time with friends, and listen to lots and LOTS of music!

On September 18th, Sam proposed at Centennial Park during sunset. We are so excited to celebrate our story with our family and friends on May 17th!
