We recommend you check out our reception venue before the reception! Atalaya Castle is the picturesque winter home of the scholar Archer Huntington and his wife, renowned sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington, who left the park and adjacent Brookgreen Gardens as their legacy. The couple was known for their generous and eccentric lifestyle (for instance - Anna was known to contain many wild animals in the house to sculpt), contributions to the field of Hispanic studies, philanthropic efforts in the local community during the Great Depression and following World War, as well as their love and devotion to each other.
