Travel Reminders, Event Schedule, & Wedding Attire

Travel Reminders

-Remember to bring your passport – the Dominican Republic (DR) is indeed a foreign country.

-DR requires you to complete a mandatory travel declaration form (E-ticket form) prior to entering country

-----Follow this link: eTicket

-----Once the form is completed, a QR code will be generated to present at the airport you are departing from, and when you arrive at the Punta Cana airport Immigration desk.

-----eTicket form can be filled out one week before your arrival in DR.

-----Pro tip: complete this form on your phone, so you can save the QR code to your device.

-----You can also print the QR code and bring a hard copy.

Airport-Hotel Shuttle

-Please book your transportation to and from the airport with NEXUS Tours. This is the Hotel’s in-house transportation vendor. https://www.nexustours.com/

-----You can book Arrival and Return airport shuttle at the same time

-----Please do not rent a car or plan to go off the resort, unless you are on an excursion. The rest of DR is less inviting than the resort property, and is not as tourist friendly.

Resort "Pro Tips":

We recommend bringing these items:

-$1 bills for tips!

-----DR is a tipping nation, and the average hotel employee earns ~$8/day.

-----Tipping your bartender, housekeeper, butler, or anyone else will make them fast friends and ensure you the best service.

-----We recommend bringing $20/day for tips in US currency; you do not need to convert to DR pesos

-A Yeti/insulated mug for beverages: the bars can fill your personal cups with drinks of choice.

-Your own flotation device for lazy river/pool. The resort has innertubes, but they retrieve them at 5pm each day.

-Snorkeling gear. The gear provided on excursions is well-used; your own pair of goggles and snorkel will make the experience more fun!

-Make dinner reservations for your entire stay at resort as soon as possible upon arrival.

-----You can do this through the Royalton Resorts hotel app, walking up to the restaurant, or using a butler.

-You can select your room & building ahead of time on the Royalton's website for a $60 fee:

-----https://www1.royaltonresorts.com/OnlineRoomSelection/en-CA/ROY/Search/Search?hotelCode=RBA

Resort Safety

-Please only use bottled water for drinking, brushing your teeth, etc. Tap water could make you sick.

-Swimming in the ocean – the ocean waves and undertow can be rough, even for good swimmers. Please be careful and stick to the pools for most of your aquatics.

Excursions:

-----Nexus Tours and the Hotel offer various excursions, such as snorkeling, boat rides, golf, and other planned trips.

-----These are the best and safest way to explore the island
