Our Wedding

While Cameron lived in Easton, PA attending Lafayette College, Amanda was busy finishing up high school in Philipsburg, NJ just FIVE minutes away. Unbeknownst to their respective existences during those FOUR years, Cameron moved away to grad school in Ithaca, NY, living THREE hours away from the elusive and beautiful puertoriqueña from New Jersey. It would take TWO more years for them to finally connect with ONE tap on their phones.

The love between the Camuñas seesters is beyond words, and anyone who knows us is profoundly aware that we are obsessed with each other. My hermana is always able to bring out the sillies when we're together, and is truly one of the most sensitive, loving, and caring people ever. To know her is to love her.

From our first handshake in the womb, I knew this man was someone I wanted by my side for life. Between sports, school, summer camps, bedrooms, food, a uterus, and birthday gifts, we have shared almost everything and every experience together and I would not want this to be any different. Caleb is a hard worker, a fierce CrossFitter, and a loyal friend.

This dear friend was destined to stand by my side on my big day from the moment we first shared a flippo in Maloney Stadium. My fellow potato has shown herself to be one of the most loyal and authentic people out there, and has been one of my greatest cheerleaders through many different seasons of life.

Tim didn't grace my life until 2015, but has not stopped rocking it ever since (quite literally). Tim loves Broadway almost as much as me and with his passion for board games, the Carolina Panthers, Praise and Worship, and serving others, you can't very easily find a better person or friend. Tim and I have enjoyed Marquis lunch dates, driving to Florida, dodgeball tournaments, and late night Fornite Victory Royales together. Tim is musically talented, hospitality minded, and ministry hearted.

Kim has been a blessing to me in my life for many reasons. I have her to thank not only for letting me live in her house for the past year, but for permanently introducing the word "shenanigans" into my vocabulary. Puppy playdates and goofy conversations are plentiful, and you'd be hard pressed to find a kinder, more gracious human out there.

Ian lived on the same floor as me our first year at Lafayette and since then we have been inseparable from board games to college ministry to grad school visits to cleaning out rotten lily pads in ponds.  Ian has a heart for people, a listening ear, a wise tongue, and isn't afraid to get dirty if the task demands it.

Charley, or as I have heard tossed around, Chazzy, is the fierce, feisty, and beautiful younger sister of Cameron. In the time I have gotten to know her, I have discovered that she is hard working, fun, super smart, and definitely somebody I am excited to have as a sister. She is also one of the fittest girls I know! Plus, I am confident that we will have the safest bridal party ever with our built in redhead security system.

Andy and I ran into each other the first day of freshman orientation at Lafayette when we discovered that our birthdays fell on the same day. Since then, we have enjoyed Gilbert's smoothies, board games, Family Vacations to Disney, and Broadway karaoke together, not to mention the fact that he has put up with my antics for 7 years. Andy is a born leader, patient at heart, and has a scripture-filled mind.

When I first considered entering into Cam's family, I knew I needed the inside scoop from someone who had done the same. Abigail, Cam's sister-in-law, has since become a dear friend of mine. She is sincere, honest, and faithful. Plus, as someone who married Cam's twin, she gives me a lot of hope for what life as a Darkes-Burkey could be like! I can always count her to support me with encouragement and prayer and am super excited to have her stand beside me on this big day!

Manuel, Manny, or often just known as Moe, is Amanda's little brother, but has a personality that is larger than life and full of flavor. Moe beat Amanda to the door on our first date and has been competing for my attention ever since. Moe and I have enjoyed the Mind (a card game), discussing and tasting hot sauces, and ping pong matches together. Moe has a caring heart towards others, great people skills, and even more chest hair than I do.
