Dress to Impress in Semi-Formal Summer Style!

Ladies: Embrace the season with airy dresses from knee to floor-length. A dressy skirt with a nice blouse or top can be a good choice too. (Just a little note: let's save white for our lovely bride.) Pair with your favorite summer heels or chic sandals.

Gentlemen: For that perfect summer fee try to choose light suits. And hey, ties are totally up to you, but they sure do add a snazzy touch. Slip into some classic shoes, and you'll be looking sharp and ready to celebrate!

We've planned a special day and your fabulous attire will make it all the more memorable. Let's shine together and make it an occasion to remember! 🥂

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

We recommend guests arrive about 15 minutes before the ceremony starts to allow time to get settled before the proceedings begin.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

We're excited to share that we'll be having an unplugged ceremony. This means we kindly ask everyone to put away their devices and be fully present with us during this special moment. Let's enjoy the ceremony together without distractions. We've hired an incredible videographer and photography team, and we can't wait to share all the beautiful moments with you. Thank you so much for your understanding and support!

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will take place outdoors, while the cocktail hour and reception will be held in a covered area. The dance floor will be indoors. Everything will be conveniently located in the same venue. If you're curious, you can visit: casadesantateresa.com.br, or simply wait to be pleasantly surprised by the breathtaking view.

What are the seating arrangements like at the wedding?

Our wedding will feature a unique Brazilian-style dining experience known as "volante," where there isn't a traditional seated dinner with assigned tables. You'll enjoy a mix of delicious bite-sized dishes served by waiters. This allows everyone to enjoy a variety of tastes from our wedding buffet while mingling and celebrating.

I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

Please indicate your dietary restrictions/allergies on the RSVP note. Also, all food and beverages will be labeled in both Portuguese and English for your convenience.

Will there be an open bar?

Absolutely! We'll have an open bar. Not a drinker? Don't worry, all cocktails can be non-alcoholic too! Just give the bartenders a heads up about your choice, and they'll take care of it with a smile!

When will the reception end? Will there be an after-party?

The reception will come to a close at the magical stroke of midnight. While we don't have an official after-party lined up, we're super excited to extend the celebration vibes by exploring the wonders of Rio de Janeiro with you all in the days to come!

What are some good tips to stay safe?

While Rio is a beautiful city, like any major urban area, it has its crime challenges. Any advice that is good for NYC will be good for Rio. Stay aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded places . Avoid displaying wealth, like flashy jewelry or expensive electronics. Don't leave bags unattended or hold your phone out far away from yourself or prop it up somewhere to take a selfie. Stick to well-traveled areas, especially at night and take Ubers especially if it is late.

What is the best way to get around?

We recommend you use Uber or 99 (Brazilian version of Uber) as it is cheap and rides are readily available. They will also work with your existing payment methods.

How Can I get cell service?

SIM Card Purchase: Once in Brazil, you can buy a prepaid SIM card from one of the main cellular providers. The primary ones are Vivo, Claro, TIM and Oi. You can find these in the official stores of the respective companies, kiosks in shopping malls, and often at the airport (though buying at the airport might be slightly more expensive). To purchase a SIM card, you'll typically need your passport for identification. There are various pre-paid plans with different data, call, and text options. Depending on the length of your stay and your usage needs, you can select a plan. You can also easily recharge your prepaid balance at numerous locations including supermarkets, pharmacies, online and kiosks along the beach.

Will I need cash?

Brazil generally has wider support for card payments than the US and most vendors will have a mobile terminal for card payments, even on the beach. However, it can still be a good idea to carry about 200 reais (equivalent to about $40) for the cases that don't or if your card has some issue. You can get cash out of ATMs for a small conversion fee.

What time will the shuttle leave the hotel?
