Siler and I met on-line, via the dating app "Bumble" in 2020 during the pandemic.

Siler is an architect and one of four owners in a Raleigh architecture firm.

I am a medical, trauma and sports massage therapist, and have owned and mainted a private practice for

28 years . I also have been the official team massage therapist for the NC Courage women's NWSL team for the past seven years.

We were both taking the pandemic very seriously, so we had an "old fashioned" courtship...we had phone conversations!

Our first phone conversation lasted 2 hrs! Our next phone conversation lasted 3 hrs!

We got to know one another for a few weeks, via phone before we met in person, outside, at the Mellow Mushroom Pizza shop on Glenwood Avenue in downtown Raleigh.

Our courtship consisted of walks with Lucy, cooking for one another, swapping music and living room dance parties for two!

We have spent our days talking, cooking, laughing and listening to music.

We started to travel together in 2021.

We have visited Asheville regularly, the beach and Outer Banks and traveled to Chicago, California, Colorado, Idaho, Ohio, New Orleans, New York, Houston, and Washington DC.

Some of our highlights were San Francisco, Yosemite, a hot air balloon ride in Idaho, visiting Red Rocks amphitheater with Siler's family, NASA space center, and lots of cool

museums in all these fantastic cities!

We love to travel, see concerts, visit museums and enjoy architecture and cultural events. I enjoy hosting dinner parties and bringing friends and family together.

We moved in together in the summer of 2022. At the time, I had two cats, Rusty and Allegro. We lost Rusty in 2023 (he was 15 yrs old) and it was a huge loss to our family as Rusty and Lucy had become good buddies.

Lucy and Allegro are now best buddies!

On August 16th 2024, one of Siler's employees found a five week old kitten on the side of the interstate "on ramp" and we now have Ando. (Named after Tadao Ando the Japanese architect)

We love to cook and entertain; enjoying time with friends. We love a good campfire, music, and Cards Against Humanity and other games.

We enjoy soccer, Hurricanes hockey games, NC State basketball games, Durham Bull's Baseball games, Courage games, live music, spending time with friends and family, playing backgammon, hiking/camping, museums, the mountains and the beach.

We volunteer for and support the Ronald McDonald House Charity, as well as Amanda's "Santa For Seniors" local charity outreach that she founded sixteen years ago, that benefits 96 low-income senior residents in Raleigh.

Siler proposed on my birthday, January 27th 2024 at the conservatory at the Biltmore Estate.
