Things to Do

If you're visiting from outside the area, welcome!

Weather: Floridians, fear not, we expect the snow to be mostly melted by August. Temps will be in the high 70s to mid-80s but cooler at night. The venue is air-conditioned.

Transit: Interested in checking out Toronto? From the venue area, you'll need to get to the Oshawa GO Train station and ride to Toronto from there.

In Toronto, GO Trains and TTC (subway/bus/streetcar) fares can be paid by tapping your debit or credit card.

Tourism: The hotel/venue are located in Peterborough. Peterborough and the Kawarthas are home to the best butter tarts! You'll be 1.5 hours east of Toronto, 2.5 hours from Niagara Falls, 3 hours west of Ottawa, and just south of cottage country.

Thing to do in Toronto:

- Royal Ontario Museum (ROM)

-Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO)

-Kensington Market (funky neighbourhood/shopping/food)

-Distillery District historic area (art/shopping/food)

-Fort York

-Ripley's Aquarium

-Cedar Basket at the Native Canadian Centre (beautiful art and goods from Indigenous creators)

-Casa Loma (one of our first dates!)

-Yonge-Dundas Square (check out Amanda's fave Mast Coffee a few blocks away)

-Toronto city hall and the big Toronto sign

-Chinatown (Dundas & Spadina) and ICHA Tea

-The Village by the Grange (underground food court)

Public Transit

Transit: Transit from the venue area does not connect directly to the airport or Toronto transit. The furthest you will be able to travel is to the Oshawa GO Train station and you will need to drive/carpool from there.
