Andy is Joe’s cousin and his best man. Joe picked Andy for his role as best man because of his unwavering loyalty, kind heart, sense of humor, and enthusiasm he has for life. These two have spent countless hours fishing, hunting, traveling, and working together- forming an inseparable bond. Whether it was Andy skipping school to travel with Barb and Steve to Sioux Falls, SD to cheer on Joe at his hockey games, or Joe convincing Andy to join him for a day’s work at Aunt Sue's construction company, they have always found joy and laughter in each others company.

Joe's freshman roommate at Ferris State. Joe and Nate shared countless memories living together during college and on the road during the hockey season, always rooming together. They were lucky to have one another as their defensive partners throughout their years at Ferris which further developed their bond. Nate has been an important part of Joe and Mandy's relationship, always there for and supportive of these two.

Another teammate of Joe's from the hockey team at Ferris State. Joe and Dom's friendship solidified after touring Italy together during their freshman year of college. Dom and his wife Kinsey have been a large part of Joe's life as he finished medical school in Michigan, generously allowing him live at their home in Howell.

Born one month earlier than Joe, their friendship began before they could even talk. Johnny lived across the street from Joe in Crystal Lake, IL and they have spent many years with each other. When it came to any sports game, especially hockey, these two insisted on being on the same team. Their "weaving magic" on the ice (as they like to call it) was developed for many years on the backyard rink.

Mickey and Joe hit it off during their first jobs working at Total Hockey in Algonquin, IL. Their summers consisted of golf, training together at the gym, yoga classes, and Men's league hockey. These two have stayed in close contact over the years frequently meeting up in Chicago where Mickey lives.

Joe and Ged quickly became friends after meeting each other in medical school and finding out they both played hockey. These two share many memories in Kirksville, MO where they were for their early years of medical school including lunch every week at Maxwell's and many hours before labs studying together.

Mandy's younger brother who is currently in Vet school at the University of Minnesota. Joe and Max spend time together over the summers in Cheboygan when Joe comes to visit Mandy. You can usually find Max and a few of his "cronies" hanging at the house or planning the infamous Kabooyah weekend which takes place in July.
