Some of you heard whispers, others may be surprised. Its not that we wanted to keep our wedding a secret, its just really awkward to say, "Hey we're getting married... but you're not invited...." Ya.....
We wanted to get married fairly quickly, however, the pandemic ruined everything. It was almost impossible to try and plan anything with the rules and mandates constantly changing. In Washington especially, things were locked down fairly tight.
In the end, we had to come together to decide on what mattered the most to us and what we were willing to sacrifice to achieve that. We wanted to be married, as man and wife, before God and in the eyes of the law. We wanted to be united and face the uncertain future together, and we wanted to have this happen sooner rather than later.
We decided to hold a small wedding, with only immediate family members allowed. This would allow the most important people in our lives to be present. With Washington pandemic regulations, gatherings were limited to 20 people total. Since Amanda's immediate family is so big, there was really no other option. Unfortunately, several of Zach's immediate family members could not attend due to travel, pandemic, and other life events. This created a few last-minute openings, which we then extended to a few friends that lived locally.
We would have loved to invite and share this moment with all our family and friends. Any lack of information does not mean a lack of love! We love you guys so much and are so grateful for the love and support we receive from both sides of the family!!! We have often talked about how lucky we are in regard to in-laws, new family members, and how the crazy pieces all match perfectly!!!
