Travel & Accommodation at a glance: We’re getting married near a lovely town in Burgundy called Sens. If you're travelling from the UK, we recommend taking the Eurostar. For accommodation in Sens: we've secured a special rate at the Epona hotel. See below for more options.
It's Plane You Should Train
The easiest way to get to the venue from abroad is via Paris, so you can either take the Eurostar to Paris Gare du Nord or fly to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. If you're in the UK, we strongly recommend taking the Eurostar as it takes you closer to the heart of Paris where the train connections go from. And also, you know... saving the planet.
Making Sens Of It
Once in Paris, head to Sens, a lovely medieval town in the North Burgundy. Two ways to get there:
1. Take a train Paris (Gare de Lyon or Gare de Bercy) direct to the heart of Sens (89100) (use citymapper to get around Paris). We recommend booking the 9:21 or 11: 35am train from Paris Bercy, arriving in time for you to have lunch in the lovely time. Book those on Trainline.
2. Rent a car and drive down. The drive takes approximately 1hr45. Having a car will allow you a bit more freedom during your stay, but we'll provide shuttle buses on the 4th and 5th August, and details of local taxis for the 6th.
If you're planning a roadtrip (to the wine region!) before or after the wedding, you can rent a car directly in Sens.
Where To Rest Your Sleepy Heads
We've arranged a special rate for our wedding guests at the new Epona Hotel, a gorgeous four stars in the heart of Sens. Book on their website using the promo code BRESSAND to benefit from our discount. (Double room with breakfast and early check-in from 2pm for 163€ per night (~£136).
--> Shuttle buses will leave from/return to the Boulevard 2 min from the hote. Since Sens is a fairly small town, you should only be a 10-15min walk away if you're staying anywhere else in the town center (e.g., Airbnb or other hotel).
Alternative Hotels
If you're after a simpler hotel, then The Archotel is a great option. It is a 10min walk from Epona hotel, so there'll be no issue staggering back to the Archotel after being dropped off by the Epona on the wedding night.
There are also a number of charming AirBnbs in the town - some with the beautiful architecture showcased above. The shuttle buses will always leave and return to the Epona Hotel, so you might want to ensure you're not a million miles from there!

The wedding venue is about a 30-minute drive from Sens, so we'll provide complimentary shuttle buses on both Monday and Tuesday for ease of access.
Activities commence on Monday Aug. 4th at 3.30pm at the wedding venue. Shuttle buses will depart from Boulevard des Garibaldi, 89100 Sens at 3:00pm and 3:30pm. The shuttle buses cannot wait at this location, so please aim to be there by 2:45pm and 3:15pm respectively. The bus will return to Sens that same day, departing around 10 pm.
On Tuesday Aug. 5th, we'll also provide shuttle buses leaving Sens at 2pm and 2:20pm from Boulevard des Garibaldi, 89100 Sens. So please be there 15 minutes ahead of the departure time. Shuttle buses will return to Sens, departing from the venue at midnight, 1:30am. and 3am. We'll also share the contact details of taxis if you want to go home outside these hours.
All shuttle buses will depart and return from/to Boulevard des Garibaldi, 89100 Sens - near the Épona hotel.
