The beginning of Chris and Amber’s story is a little bit of a funny one. They joke that it all began with some forks, but here is the real story.

Amber has been best friends with Chris’s cousin Caitlin since they were in high school and in all the years Amber has been friends with Caitlin, her path had never seemed to come across Chris’ until one cold and snowy February night...

When Caitlin bought a house back in February of 2021, Amber had decided to move in with her. Chris and his brother lived in the apartments across the street at Whitney Ridge. Coincidentally, Whitney Ridge also happened to be where Amber lived as a child with her Dad many years before. To make it even crazier, Chris was living in one of the apartments above Amber's old childhood apartment in the same exact building.

Amber and Caitlin had been painting the new house to get it ready to be moved into, and had ordered food. The place had so kindly forgotten to give the girls utensils and since they had not moved anything into the house yet, Caitlin called up Chris to see if Amber could stop by and borrow a couple forks while Caitlin finished painting. This is the night they joke about meeting for the first time, although no sparks flew that night.

With Chris and his brother living so close, they started coming to more game nights and functions the girls had at the house. It was one get together the girls had in particular in March of 2021, that Chris decided to make his move and struck up a conversation afterwards in Amber's Facebook messages.
