Is there a dress code?
Yes! Dress code is Semi-Formal/Cocktail Dress. We ask that there are NO jeans, sweatshirts, etc.
Are there any colors we should avoid wearing?
We just kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride or groom - whites, ivories, cream.
Are kids welcome?
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event, unless otherwise notified, so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kiddo(s) at home so you can enjoy a little getaway have a night out to celebrate with us.
Can I bring a plus one if my invite didn't give me one?
Unfortunately, while we would love to have as many people as we can to celebrate with us, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate the guests listed on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, it will be listed on your invite by name.
If I didn't RSVP on time can I still come?
While we will be incredibly sad to not have you there to celebrate with us, without your RSVP we will not have made a spot reserved for you. The reason for this is because we must provide and accurate head count to our vendors within a timely manner so the have an accurate head count for food, beverages and place settings. It is very important that you RSVP by September 1st if you are planning to attend.
What time should I arrive?
We will be starting around 3:30 PM so we advise getting there by 3:00 PM or no later than 3:15 PM to park, find your seats and get ready for the ceremony to start.
Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?
Both the ceremony and the reception will take place at Bear Ridge. However, the ceremony will be outside (pending the weather allows) and although it will be short, it is still fall and you may want to have something warmer to wear over your attire.
Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?
Yes! The ceremony takes place outside down a path to the seats. The barn venue also has a ramp for any individuals who will need wheelchair or walker access to get inside for the reception.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception barn, where we will be serving finger foods and beverages during a cocktail hour. Guests can also take this time to find their seats on our seating chart, put any gifts/cards on the gift table, and remember our loved ones whom we wish could be here with us this day at our memory table. We will also have a cigar bar and cornhole outside.
Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
Yes, we have room blocks at the Peek N' Peak Resort right up the road for both Friday and Saturday nights. You can find more information on that in our 'travel' section of our wedding website.
The hotel says check in is at 4:00 PM. Can I check in early?
They do allow early check-in time for room blocks providing the rooms have been flipped and cleaned, guests can get in as early as 12:00 PM. While they are never able to 100% guarantee getting into rooms before 4:00 depending on how many rooms they are preparing, they do their very best to ensure the wedding block rooms are a top priority for the wedding day over the general public. Calling ahead the day or so before to let them know you will need an early check in will help. They also have workers at the front desk 24/7 to be able to check in later during the cocktail hour or after the wedding if you choose to do that as well.
Where should guests park? Is parking free?
Guest will park next to the venue in their parking lot and YES parking is free!
Will transportation be provided to and from the hotel for the ceremony and reception?
Yes. If you are staying at the Peek N' Peak Resort there will be a shuttle provided to bring you from the hotel to the wedding and back.
I still have questions. What is the best way to contact you?
While we try our best to answer any questions here for our guests, we know we could have missed something. Please feel free to reach out to either of us personally with any questions via call or text!
