There is a wide variety of wonderful accommodations on the island - boutique hotels, apartment/loft rentals, villa rentals, and luxury resorts.
For the weekend of the wedding, we recommend staying in Corfu Town. Both the church and the pick up/drop off location for the reception will be in town. Below you will find our recommended hotels. There are also many great options on booking .com, AirBnb, and Vrbo!
If you are planning on staying beyond the wedding weekend, we would encourage you to venture out and explore the rest of the beautiful island! The provided transportation will not be able to drop off guests at other areas of the island outside of Corfu Town.
Agios Gordios (~25 minutes from Corfu Town) is located in a large bay with a long, sandy beach with shallow waters. Most accommodations are on walking distance to the beach. The beach is full of relaxed beach bars/restaurants and chair rentals. Since Agios Gordios is so centrally located, you can easily visit all Corfu’s highlights while staying there.
Would highly recommend Dina's Paradise Apartments.
Pelekas / Kontogialos (~25 minutes from Corfu Town) is a traditional, lively village on a hill. It is very centrally located in Corfu. This is one of the best places for people that like to stay in a traditional village instead of a tourist resort, want to explore the whole island, and want to be close to the beach. A steep road leads down from the village to the beaches of Kontogialos and Yaliskari. Kontogialos is a long, sandy beach with shallow waters and lots of beach bars. Yaliskari is a secluded little bay with a traditional taverna right above the beach.
Liapades (~35 minutes from Corfu Town), like Pelekas, Liapades is both a traditional village and a seafront resort. In terms of beaches it is also similar to Palaiokastritsa, but more authentic and with less tourists! The village itself is a bit inland and up the hill. The upper village has some amazing traditional tavernas, while the seafront side has more restaurants and bars and beautiful accommodations overlooking the bay. No sandy beaches here, but a couple of amazing pebble bays with turquoise waters. Great for snorkeling and renting a boat! The main beach is just a short walk down the road, while some other beaches can only reached by hiking, by rental boat or taxi boat. It is the ideal area to stay in for those who want to explore the picturesque blue bays, but want to stay away from mass tourism.
Lakones (~35 minutes from Corfu Town) is a charming traditional village up in the hills behind Paleokastritsa. This small village has jaw-dropping views over Paleokastritsa and Liapades.
The North Eastern part of Corfu has many wonderful villas if you are traveling with a larger group.
Kalami (~ 50 minutes from Corfu Town) is a small and picturesque beach village which is famous for its association with the Durrells. Kalami has several laid back beach bars and tavernas. The scenery is lush and beautiful and the beaches are pebbles with crystal clear water. There are laid back water sports here such as paddle boarding and kyaking.
Nearby beaches include Agni, Houhulio (unorganized) beach at Kouloura, a 15-minute walk to the north, or Gialiskari to the south. Kalami is only 10 mins from Kassiopi and 20 minutes from Kerasia. San Antonio beach resort is a beautiful option in this area.
For restaurants try Thomas' Place or Kerasia Taverna.
Kassiopi (~ 1 hour from Corfu Town) is a bustling harbor town in NE Corfu with wonderful seafood restaurants and tavernas. There are so many stunning beaches close by including Bataria, Pipitos, Kanoni, Avlaki, and Akoli. The beaches here are pebble with crystal clear waters. Kassiopi is a perfect place if you are looking for a lively town with near by beaches.
Agios Stefanos NE (~ 1 hour from Corfu Town) is a small harbor village and the gateway to the Erimitis Nature reserve. This quiet, small village is perfect for those nature lovers who are ready to explore secluded beaches and take nature walks.
Agios Georgios NW, Agios Stefanos NW, and Arillas (~1 hour from Corfu Town) are three neighboring resort towns on the coast of Corfu. They are 1 hour by car from Corfu town. All with lovely, child friendly, low key, golden sand beaches. This western facing area of the island also has beautiful sunsets.
Arillas is the most authentic and smallest of the three, with a small boulevard with traditional restaurants and beautiful cliffs. There is a small port at Agios Stefanos that offers daytours to, for instance, the Diapontia islands. Agios Georgios has a spectacular sandy beach, and is close to the famous twin beach of Porto Timoni.
All three are perfect for exploring the Northwest coast of Corfu, which has lots of beautiful sights to offer.
