We recommend booking your flights and lodging with a 24hr buffer in case of bad weather. Colorado is known for its snowstorms in March, and it is best to leave enough time for travel in case there are any delays.

Option 1: Fly to Montrose (MTJ) or Grand Junction (GJT) + Shuttle to Telluride

The Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) is the primary airport for Telluride and is a scenic 65 miles away. Don't hesitate to contact Telluride Express for a shuttle service to and from Telluride at (970) 728-6000. You can also contact Mountain Limo at (970) 728-9606, but clarify whether you are receiving a shared or private ride, as private rides are more expensive. Grand Junction Airport is farther, but also available for shuttle service to Telluride.

Option 2: Fly to Telluride (TEX)

It is possible, albeit expensive, to fly commercially into Telluride on United Airlines. From the airport, it is a 10-minute shuttle ride to either downtown Telluride or Mountain Village. Don't hesitate to contact Telluride Express for a shuttle service to and from Telluride at (970) 728-6000. You can also contact Mountain Limo at (970) 728-9606, but clarify whether you are receiving a shared or private ride, as private rides are more expensive.

Option 3: Fly to Denver (DIA) + Drive to Telluride

It is possible to fly into Denver, rent a car, and drive to Telluride. In good weather conditions, this is a 7-hour drive one-way and full of mountain roads and passes. Please note that parking is limited in Telluride and that there is a fee to park almost everywhere. Cars are not necessary once in telluride because it is very walkable. A free gondola runs between the Town of Telluride (a tiny, walkable town) and Mountain Village.
