If you don't wish to leave the resort, that's A-Okay, there are plenty of activities and restaurants at the resort. If you're curious to explore Playa Del Carmen, we recommend grabbing dinner (Aug 2nd) or brunch (Aug 3rd) in the city. It's a great way to experience tourism in Quintana Roo, Mexico. PLUS, you can buy some crafty Mexican souvenirs to take home.

NOTE: Food/Drinks in Playa Del Carmen are significantly cheaper than at the resort.
