The destination airport is Cancun International Airport (CUN).
Wedding festivities are from July 31st to August 4th, 2024. Some guests are invited for festivities starting July 30th - August 4th. You can book your flights according to these dates.
Guests from North America are arriving on the day (either July 30th or 31st) and will check out on August 4th. Some guests are arriving the weekend prior. It's up to you how you'd like to book your wedding vacation.
Guests travelling from Europe/Asia/Africa/Australia may find better flights flying into Mexico City (MEX) first then catching a local flight from Mexico City to Cancun. Otherwise, a direct flight to Cancun is your best bet.
For our Canadian guests, flying to Cancun from Toronto is usually the most affordable and shortest flight (~3 hour flight). Flights from Vancouver can be ~6 hours.
Please keep in mind, that if you do not have a US Visa, you cannot transit in the US on your way to Cancun.
Please contact Andres or Winnie for any help/info before booking your flights to be extra sure.
Getting from Cancun International Airport to Mayakoba takes approximately 40 minutes by car/taxi.
Outside of Cancun International Airport, multiple taxi companies are pushing to get your business. You can either pre-arrange your transportation with us or you can choose a company just as you arrive that will likely have higher rates.
We will reach out to you for your flight details (arrival/departure times). That way we can pre-arrange your transportation.
Round trip rate: ~$100 USD (To/From Airport to Mayakoba)
If you are planning to arrive/leave earlier or later from a different location, they will price you accordingly.
If large groups or families are arriving together, we can group you together likely making the transportation costs cheaper. We're currently working on contacting some transportation companies. Please let us know in advance if you would like transportation pre-arranged.
Mayakoba is a large archaeological and highly preserved resort complex. There are 4 resorts within Mayakoba and we will have our wedding events spread between two of the resorts. Andaz Mayakoba and Banyan Tree Mayakoba.
If you choose to google these resorts and take a sneak peek at the rates, you'll see that the price point is relatively high. We have worked for months to negotiate some great deals for the rooms so we can have luxury alongside affordability. These resorts are NOT all-inclusive. We will be providing food and drinks at all the events.
Below we have linked the resort websites. Feel free to explore the properties virtually.
Each guest/family will receive an email with a booking link at a specific resort. You can use the link we provide to book your accommodation according to your needs. We will send that link shortly. Please let us know if you have not received your booking link. Please note that all prices are in USD.
The hard deadline to book your accommodation is May 30th, 2024
Please keep in mind, that you're welcome to book 3 nights before or 3 nights after the wedding dates at the same negotiated rates.
Check in time is 3pm. Check out by 12pm.

NOTE: Andaz recently provided the option to have all-inclusive. You can either choose to have all-inclusive for your entire trip or you can choose to do all-inclusive for the last 2 days (our recommendation). The resort will not allow one day all-inclusive and then the next day not. If you choose to have all-inclusive it will have to be from the day you sign up till the end of your stay.
Food and drinks are expensive at Mayakoba but we will be providing food and drinks at all of our events (open bar at most of the events). If you would like unlimited alcoholic drinks for your entire stay, we recommend going all-inclusive. If you dont drink much, we recommend all-inclusive for the last two days. Please message Winnie or Andres if you'd like more info on this.
It is $150 USD per person, per day for all-inclusive. This is approximately the cost for one meal for two people. But if you choose All-inclusive, its unlimited food and drinks for the whole day.
