THE MEETING October 18, 2015

Rea's version:

Andy shows up to the gym's beer league softball game with George who is wearing Patriots gear. Rea was new to the gym and didn't really know anyone, but she knew she hated the Patriots. After she made a few sly comments about the Pats ongoing football game, Andy asked her to be his warm up partner. He skipped the warm up and fired a fast ball at her face on the first toss. It had been a while, but luckily she still knew how to use her glove, and threw it right back at him. She remembers yelling "Go Colts!" in the parking lot to the boys after the softball game and no less than 20 minutes later, this northern kid slid into her Facebook DM's chirping about the Cowboys. The Facebook messaging eventually led to a Harry Potter conversation which led to her giving him her number.

Andy's Version:

There was a new girl at the gym...with a good booty. When he went to the gym's softball game this was a good chance to break the ice and ask her to be his warm up partner. When she agreed he was so nervous he threw the ball at her hard...like she was one of the guys. His heart immediately skipped a beat thinking he was going to hit her in the face. She nonchalantly raised her glove (college softball player here) and tossed it back at him...AN ATHLETE, TOO?! He was in love....

THE DATING 5ish years

After three months of talking Reachelle finally agreed on a date. Andy was actually the first guy to ever take Reachelle on real date, picked her up, took her to a nice dinner at the Reata in Fort Worth and drove her home. But, he didn't walk her to the door...so she definitely thought she didn't impress. Apparently, this was Andy's first serious date in The South. Opening doors and walking women home was a foreign concept to him. Eventually, a Stars game date sealed the deal and they officially starting dating in January 2016. Many hockey games, world travels, date nights, dog walks and a worldwide pandemic later, Andy asked Reachelle to marry him. And yes, he now opens doors and even pulls outs chairs for her.

THE PROPOSAL November 21, 2020

Andy ruined the first TWO plans he had to propose... the man's a horrible secret keeper. But, with the help of the now newly-weds, George & Jordan, he pulled off an incredible proposal. Reachelle was out with Jordan picking bridesmaid's dresses for Jordan's wedding and the plan was for the girls to all go to dinner after. They definitely went to dinner but it wasn't to celebrate Jordan. Andy took her father and close friends out to the Gaylord Hotel's Christmas display. Andy popped the question under a huge Christmas tree (she's slightly obsessed with Christmas). After she said yes all of the people invited were hidden in a corner started cheering and clapping. She was so surprised. They all went to dinner and drinks. Andy & Reachelle spent the night at the Gaylord. Reachelle called out of work the next day. It was perfect.
