After matching on Coffee Meets Bagel, Blessie met Andrew at Pioneer Park for their first date at the Puyallup Farmers’ Market. They enjoyed conversation, various eats, and sunny skies even an hour past the market’s end.

Blessie had gone on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic for two weeks. Andrew thoroughly enjoyed reading daily updates from the mission field. As she was serving in the province of Barahona, Andrew was lifting her and the team up in prayer. This was their first date after that trip, and it opened up deeper conversations about their faith.

Andrew made Blessie pancit canton for their sunset devo/dinner date. That night, he asked her to be his girlfriend.

Andrew and Blessie spent Labor Day Weekend doing two day trips; one to Vancouver, B.C, Canada, and the other to Portland, OR. They enjoyed sightseeing and eating a ton of delicious food which they can still recall fondly to this day.

Andrew and Blessie spent Thanksgiving weekend with Andrew’s extended family on his dad’s side. They enjoyed exchanging stories, being stuffed with food and wine, playing games with the cousins, and taking a day trip to Silver Falls State Park.

Andrew and Blessie embarked on their first big trip to SoCal. They went on a 36-hour Seattle to LA train ride, enjoyed theme parks, ate a lot of delicious food, and saw the best of what Orange County and Irvine County had to offer. They also got to spend time in fellowship with the Exodus3 church family and his cousins William and Viola, both parties whom have been instrumental in Andrew’s faith journey.

Spending their first Valentines Day together, Blessie made dinner (lamb chops and mushroom risotto!). Andrew brought bonbon chocolates.

The couple spent the spring hunting every flower field they could find, starting with daffodils, and then onto cherry blossoms, tulips, peonies, and irises.

A weekend trip around the Olympic Peninsula allowed Andrew and Blessie to see Washington’s natural beauty. They have since taken other road trips down the Oregon Coast and to Idaho/Eastern Washington.

Andrew has thoroughly enjoyed supporting Blessie during her Filipino folk dance performances, including 2 festivals at Seattle Center, the first ever Lapu-Lapu Day in Vancouver, BC, and at the Seattle Mariners baseball game!

Andrew visited Hawai’i for the first time to visit Blessie’s family. Vaeh fell asleep in his arms within the first 30 minutes!

After a Mother’s Day adventure around the island, Andrew asked Blessie to spend the rest of her life with him! She said yes!
