Our story together began as all great chronicles of love do - with drinks, dinner, and smashing on the first date. Since that first encounter, our fondness for one another has grown daily; a lasting and resilient edifice, durable as a Freemason's finest work, rooted in a shared set of core values: compassion, playfulness, and whatever political milieu sits just a hair shy of the Jacobins. Our union, aside from bestowing a number of enticing (if antiquated) tax benefits upon us in a period of rapid inflation, provides for an occasion to gather and celebrate with all of you: our friends, chosen family, and dearest loves. In this all-but-lawless city that has provided one of us with a medical education, the other of us with a sweet little dog with eyes like a cartoon prince, and the both of us with a home neither of us could have anticipated three years ago, we hope you will join us, dear one, for a long weekend of celebration, so that we might share a bit of our home and love of this place with you.

**The weekend of our wedding is also Tulane Family Weekend, so please plan booking accommodations accordingly!** AirBnBs are popular here and offer a variety of styles of accommodation, depending on where you want to stay in the city. While not the best for our local housing market, we understand it's the best option for many folks! If you want to be near the venue, we would recommend looking at Lower Garden District, Garden District, Warehouse District, and Central Business District. For those who prefer hotels, we have secured courtesy blocks at a curated selection of big box hotel brands in the area, with a range of pricing and amenities:

The Sonesta Extended Stay Suites is near the Convention Center in the Warehouse District. A 10 minute walk (or 4 minute drive) away from the wedding venue, these studio suites with kitchenettes and Queen beds are the ideal union of affordability and comfort. Don't let the affordability fool you, however; tennis courts and swimming pools await those who see the true potential of the Sonesta Extended Stay Suites. This storied hotel is on St Charles Avenue in the Garden District, a 16 minute walk or a 3 minute drive from the wedding venue. A rooftop pool and its location on a streetcar line make this hotel an excellent option for travelers who enjoy mixing the pleasurable with the practical. This hotel's rooftop bar is where the betrothed had their first date, and is also where they got engaged. A 16 minute walk and 5 minute drive from the wedding venue, this modern albergo features a moody hotel bar, rooftop pool, and drag brunches on Sundays. Some things to do! Among the usual favorites of the WWII museum, City Park, the French Quarter, airboat swamp tours, and more, here are a few of our favorite places to take out-of-towners.

Sazerac House does free and paid tours of their facility which takes you through the history of cocktails in New Orleans (and there are usually free tasters while you make your way through the tour).

Where to eat &amp; drink! Goodness. The list is endless, with new and exciting restaurants and bars opening alongside established haunts all the time. One of the best bars in North America, and the best in the south, Jewel of the South is a literal gem in the French Quarter with delicious modern and historic cocktails and a curated food menu, all in a beautiful environment.

From local legend Mason Hereford comes Hungry Eyes - an 80s themed restaurant and bar with seriously good food, inspired by yesteryear but updated to modern tastes, and truly killer martinis.
