Some things to do!
Among the usual favorites of the WWII museum, City Park, the French Quarter, airboat swamp tours, and more, here are a few of our favorite places to take out-of-towners.
Sazerac House does free and paid tours of their facility which takes you through the history of cocktails in New Orleans (and there are usually free tasters while you make your way through the tour).
Art gallery out in Bywater by BMike, a local artist whose art exemplifies culture and creativity in New Orleans, with particular attention to the experience of Black New Orleaneans.
Where to eat & drink!
Goodness. The list is endless, with new and exciting restaurants and bars opening alongside established haunts all the time. Aneline has developed a near encyclopedic knowledge of the food and drink scene here over the years, so text us for suggestions. Below are a few classics and not-to-miss spots.
One of the best bars in North America, and the best in the south, Jewel of the South is a literal gem in the French Quarter with delicious modern and historic cocktails and a curated food menu, all in a beautiful environment.
From local legend Mason Hereford comes Hungry Eyes - an 80s themed restaurant and bar with seriously good food, inspired by yesteryear but updated to modern tastes, and truly killer martinis.
Attached to Patron Saint wine bar, St. Pizza has some bangin' pizza, and that's saying something coming from a New Yorker. Their sourdough crust is delicious, and their caesar salad is divine.
Where to chill out!
Got some downtime? New Orleans is pretty much always pool weather.
Yoga? Pilates? Hot/cold plunges and an infrared sauna? Say less.
