For guests who plan to take the ferry to the island, reservations are required for vehicles. The booking window is now open. Additional availability will be released two days before the date of travel at 7:00AM Pacific Time.

Example: For ferry travel on Friday, 8/2, additional availability will be released on Wednesday, 7/31, at 7:00AM Pacific Time.

We recommend avoiding ferry travel on the day of the ceremony. Guests are encouraged to make reservations as soon as possible. Changes can be made when additional availability is released.

Note: Reservations are required for both outbound and return ferry journeys. You will need a reservation for both the Anacortes-to-Friday Harbor and Friday Harbor-to-Anacortes routes.

Washington State Ferries Vehicle Reservations

*Walk-on passengers do not need reservations.

The ferry departs from Anacortes Ferry Terminal (about a 1.5 hour drive north of Seattle) and arrives at the Friday Harbor Ferry Dock.

Roche Harbor is about a 20 minute drive or taxi ride from Friday Harbor.

The duration of the ferry journey is about one hour. The reservation confirmation email will include information about what time to arrive to the ferry terminal prior to departure.

Guests can park at the Anacortes Ferry Terminal and walk onto the ferry without a reservation. There are a few island taxi services that guests can arrange for transporation to a hotel.

Note: Rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft are not available on the island.
