Our Wedding

We had spoke online for about a month before actually meeting up. Logan had asked me about my job, and quickly discovered how passionate I was about therapy and mental health! We both had weddings to attend but in different states, and then I got bit by a poisonous spider, so that delayed us meeting up a bit! Our first date was at Moon Hollow Brewing, in Blacksburg, on June 1st, 2023. Logan and I spoke for hours, way past the last call (sorry staff!) and were the last to leave. I left that night thinking I met someone really special. I quickly called my mom, waking her up (sorry mom!) to tell her about the date. A few days later, I heard "Mine" by Taylor Swift on the radio. As corny as it was, it felt like it had different lyrics for the first time and the meaning had changed for me. It was driving in my car that I truly felt like I had met the one, and I was right.

Shelby and Anne have been friends (and then best friends) since middle school! They met in creative writing class and bonded over their mutual love of Twilight and Lady Gaga! They have seen Lady Gaga in concert 4 times, the first time being in 2010 and recently in March 2026! Since school, Shelby and Anne share in their love of movies and do a movie watching challenge bi-monthly. At one point, when Anne lived in NOVA, they watched a movie in theaters almost every week!

Leah and Anne have been friends since they were in grad school together. They became closer when they became coworkers in 2021 and bonded over their love of Taylor Swift and Jellycats. They later co-founded a book club for mental health providers a few years later and celebrated its 2nd anniversary in March of 2026!

Gwen is Anne's younger sister, so Anne has known her since birth! Gwen and Anne were roommates when Gwen went to Radford after Anne had graduated - something that most people are shocked about! They share in their love of music, movies, and cooking.

Maura and Anne became friends when Maura joined the outpatient therapy team in 2024. Anne and Maura worked on the same hall and would sit in each other's offices when the other wasn't busy every day! They became closer during a multi-month long training about working with adopted children and are both in book club together!

Emma and Anne have been friends since middle school, when they co-starred in a play about middle school! Anne played Emma's bully on stage, but off stage, they were going to High School Musical on Ice together and having sleep overs! They have been friends ever since and Anne stood by Emma's side on her big day!

What Guys Need to Know About Dress Codes

The dress code for the evening will be cocktail attire with formalwear being optional. For gentlemen, please wear a suit, dress shirt, tie, and dress shoes. Wearing a dark or neutral colored suit is not necessary. For ladies, a cocktail length or floor-length dress, jumpsuit, or pantsuit are welcome along with dress shoes.For all parties, please refrain from wearing jeans, tee shirts, sneakers, flip flops, sweatpants, leggings, the colors white and cream and any pastel shade that is close to white.

The color scheme for the wedding are soft pinks and greens, you are welcome to wear these colors to match the big day but not required.

Drawing from its rich collection of artifacts and documents, this American Civil War Museum location is located 25 minutes east of Lynchburg and interweaves the story of the Confederate States government, the military, civilians, and enslaved and free African-Americans. Exhibits detail events leading up to and following the War. Visitors experience the “Appomattox moment” when the armies of two warring nations clashed at a rural crossroads in April of 1865. The words of Robert E. Lee’s final order to his troops can be heard surrounded by images and uniforms of those present at the surrender of the Army of Northern Virginia. Of special interest are General Lee’s sword and the uniform that he wore to the meeting with Grant at Appomattox Court House. Visitors can explore the lives of soldiers, civilians and African-Americans, both during and after the War, with the interactive Wall of Faces.

Just a short ten-minute drive to the west of Lynchburg, Poplar Forest is Thomas Jefferson’s secluded retreat, now a National Historic Landmark. Amazement Square is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary, hands-on museum, and Virginia’s first museum to be a Certified Autism Center (CAC) located in historic Downtown Lynchburg, Virginia. Three Roads Brewing Company is opening a new taproom and brewery in the great city of Lynchburg in early 2020. Housed in a former Ford dealership, the Lynchburg taproom will feature the signature, relaxed Three Roads style, complete with indoor and outdoor seating, games, live music, community events, and of course, great beer.&nbsp; Anne and Logan will be hosting an after party at Three Roads Brewing, after the wedding reception.
