Hotel Room BlockThe last day to complete your Dallas hotel booking through our room block is July 24! Please book through the link on our Travel page. Shuttle From Hotel to VenueShuttles will board on Saturday, August 9 from 3:15PM-3:45PM and leaving no later than 4:00PM. We have requested early check-in for guests staying at the hotel for those checking in day-of and will have signage with directions. Shuttles will be parked on the side street of the hotel right outside of the Starbucks. Shuttle From Venue to HotelDue to a low number of guests requesting an early shuttle time, we will only be offering the shuttle back following the event at 11PM. If you plan to leave earlier, we recommend scheduling ride shares ahead of time.

Our Story

Annie and Jace first met in April 2018 on Bumble while Annie was looking for a date to her sorority formal. The first two things they bonded over were Jace's pictures of his dog Rogue, and the fact that Annie knew of an Arrieta on her home team, the Chicago Cubs (who also happened to be Jace's second cousin). Fun fact: their first date was at Melt Ice Creams, which is featured in their engagement photos!

After only two weeks of knowing each other, Jace &amp; Annie officially started dating. Jace helped Annie pack up her dorm to head back to Chicago for the 3 months of summer ahead, not knowing what the future held.

Luckily, Annie was able to come visit Austin for her first time that summer so they could be reunited and get to spend some more quality time together. This trip was also the first time they told each other they loved each other!

Over the next 2 years, Jace drove roundtrip from Irving to Fort Worth every weekend so they could spend time together. Between sorority events, spring break adventures, and eating a lot of Fuzzy's, they kept busy!

They also had various opportunities for Jace to experience Annie's Chicago lifestyle during Christmas, Lollapalooza, and a Cubs game!

Once Covid shook up the world, Annie &amp; Jace moved in together and adopted their first pup, Daisy!

In 2021, they both graduated and decided to move to Austin for their new jobs and a change of scenery!

They enjoyed living the Austin lifestyle by trying all the Tex-Mex restaurants (Dos Salsas and Tequila Bar in particular), paddleboarding on the weekends, and tubing with friends.

Over the years, they were also fortunate enough to experience multiple cruises, beach trips in Port Aransas, and Annie's #1 bucket list destination, Los Angeles, together!

After 2.5 years of adventures in Austin, Annie &amp; Jace decided to move back to Dallas, where they did all of their "adulting". Right before moving, they expanded the family and adopted Eli (or more commonly known as, Buddy)!

In March of 2024, Jace surprised Annie by planning a birthday staycation in downtown Dallas. They stayed at The Adolphus Hotel and spent the weekend exploring their new city! Following drinks at the hotel on Saturday night, Jace surprised Annie by proposing at the hotel!

Today, Jace &amp; Annie have since moved back to the Austin area and are excited to continue building their beautiful lives together! They can't wait to celebrate with you all on their journey to forever!

Things to Do

RECOMMENDED AIRPORT

We highly recommend that out-of-town guests fly into Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL) if possible! This airport is only 7 miles from downtown Dallas.If the airport you are departing from only flies into Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW), that's fine too! Please take into account the extra travel time, as this airport is about 20 miles from downtown Dallas.

We highly recommend &amp; encourage that all guests stay at our room block in downtown Dallas (even if you are driving in from Austin)! Not only is there a lot to explore if you decide to stick around for the weekend, but our discounted rate is available for 4 days before &amp; after the event if you decide to stay in town a little longer! Additionally, we will be providing a complimentary shuttle service between the hotel and the venue (30 minute drive). Please indicate if you will be utilizing this service on your RSVP.Please note the hotel will charge a (discounted!) $40/night valet fee. There are a handful of hotel options in Waxahachie that are about a 15 minute drive from the venue. We highly recommend &amp; encourage utilizing a rideshare to and from the venue if you plan on drinking alcohol throughout the event!
