Ferry to Peaks Island
The ferry to the islands around Portland is a great day trip for a picnic or some light biking!
HARRASEEKET AND WHITE PINES LOOP
This is a favorite local hike of the Ricciardi family! Maine is teeming with beautiful hikes for all sorts of difficulties. We really hope you get a chance to experience the beauty!
Maine Beer Company
Maine's got some great local breweries for you to try. From the bike-and-brew tours in downtown Portland, to the hidden gems scattered around the countryside, you can't go wrong. We highly recommend picking up a bottle of Lunch from the Maine Beer Company
Scratch Baking Co
Portland's got some great baked goods. While most folks are partial to donuts from The Holy Donut, we also recommend Scratch, Katie's favorite bakery!
Eventide Oyster Co.
Let's be clear, there's no shortage of really, really good places to eat in Portland. (It's a big part of why we like it so much). There's burgers and sandwiches at DuckFat, pizza from Ottos, Micucci's, or The Flatbread Company, New American from Fore Street, or lobster rolls from just about anywhere.
