Kindly note the ceremony will be for close family and friends only. We are so incredibly honoured to have you witness our Anand Karaj (our “Blissful Union” ceremony) at the Gurudwara. For many of you, this may be a new experience, and our greatest wish is for you to feel comfortable, welcome, and fully part of our special day. Please Cover Your Head: As a sign of respect, all guests are asked to cover their heads. The Gurudwara will have a basket of scarves or bandanas near the entrance for guests to borrow. Baseball caps and other hats are not considered appropriate. Remove Your Shoes: Before entering the prayer hall, you will need to remove your shoes and store them in the designated shoe racks. Sit on the Floor: To symbolize equality and humility, the congregation sits together on the floor. The ceremony involves sitting on a carpeted floor for an extended period (around 45-60 minutes). Choose clothing that is comfortable enough to allow you to sit cross-legged modestly. Benches will be available for guests who need them.
