We were first introduced to each other in 2014 through mutual friends in Hines Hall (Matt's freshman year dorm) at Siena College.

There were many trips up to Massachusetts or down to Long Island throughout the years.

Eventually, in 2021, after Ashley graduated from PA school, we moved into our first apartment together in New York City.

After way too many years together, Ashley started dropping some (not so subtle) hints to Matt about wanting to get engaged.

Many months and many romantic vacations went by without signs of a proposal. Until finally, Matt decided to reach out to Ashley's parents to surprise her in Ireland.

Ashley had planned a trip to visit family in Ireland with her mom in December 2023. Little did Ashley know that Matt had also booked a flight to Ireland and was able to surprise her at Oranmore Castle in the town where Ashley's family is from. And the rest is history.
