Will there be an open bar?
There will be a cash bar available at the Welcome Gathering the night before the wedding. For the wedding day, there will be a limited open bar available for part of the night. What is the weather like in Ireland in August?
Ireland is notoriously rainy. Though the summer time typically sees less rain, always prepare for rain. Temperature's average between 50-60F and can occasionally get into the 70s during the day and cooler at night.
What if it rains?
In order to get to the ceremony space from the main castle, you will have to walk outside briefly. There are extra umbrellas available for guests to borrow at the main castle for the walk. All other portions of the wedding will be held within the main castle building.
What else should I know about traveling to Ireland?
The currency is Euros. Ireland uses Type G plugs, make sure you have the correct adapter. You may need a voltage converter as well (particularly larger devices like hair dryers or hair straighteners), so check your devices to ensure they will be appropriate to use in Ireland.
