Air Travel
For those flying in from out-of-state, you may want to consider a few different options. Trust Geoff! He is a certified Madison air travel guru from his years working at Epic and more than his fair share of travel misadventures.
Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) - A short 10 minute drive from the airport to downtown and most convenient option, though flights may be more expensive or limited. This is the quaint local airport that Geoff flew out of for work nearly every week for three years, check out the new Frank Lloyd Wright-themed terminal!
Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) - Easy 1.5 hour drive to downtown Madison and multiple bus shuttle options from the airport to downtown Madison. Geoff's backup work travel airport and right next to Lake Michigan!
O'Hare International Airport Chicago (ORD) - 2 hour drive to downtown Madison and some bus shuttles available. Likely the cheapest and most direct flight options, especially if you're getting a rental car or taking an extended trip to Chicago. Geoff used to make this drive every week for a year while working for a health system in Chicago. Not the most exciting drive, but a very easy one!
Hotels
Please make your lodging plans early as Madison will be busy with students and the first UW football game this weekend. We have a few conveniently located hotels with block group rates below, but you are welcome to find another option that best fits your needs.
Hilton Madison Monona Terrace
Across the street from the wedding venue, no car needed! Right downtown and very walkable to the Capitol, restaurants, and shops.
UPDATE: Due to popular demand, we have maxed out our group rate for this hotel, but you can still book rooms directly at the market rate.
Pet friendly for a $50 fee and parking available onsite for $25/night.
Embassy Suites by Hilton Madison Downtown
Brand new Embassy Suites a block away from the wedding venue! Hotel opening in July and not currently accepting group blocks as they prepare to open, but you can book individually in advance for $359/night, including larger suite rooms.
DoubleTree by Hilton Madison Downtown
Near downtown, one mile from the wedding venue, and just a block from where Austin first lived when he first moved to Madison.
$299/night rate is good if reserved before August 2, 2024, dates flexible. Use the below link for the group rate. Complementary shuttle from 7am-10pm to/from the airport and to the wedding (note that the wedding goes past the last shuttle). Onsite parking available for those driving in at $18/night.
Hampton Inn & Suites Madison / Downtown
Right on campus, this hotel is surrounded by some of the best college night bites. $359/night is good if reserved by July 30, 2024. Use the below link for the group rate. Hot complimentary breakfast, complimentary Wi-Fi, onsite parking for $20/night.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Madison Central, an IHG Hotel
$189/night is good if reserved by August 1, 2024. Use the below link for the group rate. If you try booking and it indicates the block is full, please reach out to the hotel and if they have availability they will book you in the block.
