Our ceremony and reception will both take place at the beautiful Carolina Grove, located just a few minutes down the road from Bailey and Logan's family homes.

Weaver Street Market

Logan proposed to Bailey by the pond at Ayr Mount on July 5th, 2021. This spot is beautiful and perfect for a morning or afternoon walk. Ayr Mount is a Federal style plantation house located east of Hillsborough. When Ayr Mount was built in 1815, it was like nothing around for miles: a grand brick house in the North Carolina Piedmont that cut a startling figure in a region dominated by modest wooden dwellings. Built for William and Margaret Kirkland and their large family, its construction began following William’s visit to his former home in Ayr, Scotland. Upon his return, he set about building a house commensurate with his new stature as a leading merchant of Hillsborough, North Carolina, with retail stores that brought worldly goods to his hometown.

Logan and Bailey met at Orange High school in Hillsborough, NC. Bailey had just recently moved to North Carolina from Illinois, and was on the volleyball team and Logan was on the basketball team. They met through mutual friends of theirs and instantly hit it off. One night before one of Logan’s rivalry basketball games Bailey made a bet with him that if he won, she would treat him to Krispy Kreme donuts after. Well, he won the basketball game (and in a way she won too) AND they got donuts!&nbsp;&nbsp;They still joke to this day how Bailey paid for their first date, and they still share a love for donuts to this day!&nbsp;🍩

Our Story

Logan proposed by doing a picnic at a local Hillsborough historic site area called Ayr Mount. They went on many walks at Ayr Mount with their dog Roxie in high school and this location is very special to them. Logan brought along with him for the occasion a picnic basket complete with champagne, sushi (Bailey's favorite food) and the most beautiful flowers!&nbsp;
