When is the RSVP deadline?
We kindly request that you submit your RSVP for all wedding events by August 1, 2024. This ensures that we will have enough time to communicate with all of our vendors within a respectful timeframe.
If we do not receive your RSVP by the date we have provided, you will be marked as "not attending." We will miss you celebrating with us; however, we have to provide a total guest count to the venue & vendors in the timely manner they have given us. Thank you for understanding!
The Wedding is on a Sunday?
That is correct. We are planning a weekend long excursion for our guests. We encourage you to attend as many of our events as you are able. Additionally, you cannot "do" Traverse City in a day or two, try and explore our favorite spots while you are here. Sunday night will go until about 11PM. So catch a buzz, ride our shuttle, and take work off Monday!
What happened to the Wine Crawl?
Due to popular demand, we found it improbable to coordinate that many guests between multiple wineries. If you have the time, we still recommend doing this crawl with a small group. We would suggest Mari, Bonobo, 2 Lads, then a short-drive to the Mission Point Lighthouse.
What time should I/we arrive?
The ceremony will start at 4pm. Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to ensure you are able to sit where you wish. We encourage you to take our shuttle from the Delamar Hotel/Hampton Inn to the Peninsula Room. The shuttle schedule is posted under the "Travel" section of this site. Both the Delamar and the Hampton Inn have free parking for those staying at an Airbnb or another hotel. The shuttle will then return you at the end of the night.
What is the dress code?
Our wedding dress code will be cocktail/semi-formal attire. We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, creams, and ivories.
Please note that the ceremony will be held outdoors on a lawn, so please be mindful of this when you choose your footwear!
Are kids invited?
Due to limited space, we hope you appreciate that children are only invited if named. Your invitation will be made out to "The (Your Last Name) Family" if your children have been invited. If we are unable to invite your children, we hope that you will see this as an opportunity to let your hair down and enjoy the party with us!
Will there be an open bar?
Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you. We have waited a long time for this day, so party accordingly!
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones be put away and turned to silent/off during the ceremony. We have hired professionals to capture some of the most important moments of our lives and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone blocking that moment for our photographers to capture. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos as you want!
Can I bring a date?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate the guests that are included on your invitation. The formal invitations will include the total number of seats reserved for your party. In addition, if you received a plus one, their name will appear under your name when you RSVP online.
Can we leave our car at the Peninsula Room overnight?
Yes!
How can we contact you?
Please send all questions to the Groom at (248)767-0194.
